Marco Petrelli
Adjunct Professor of [L-LIN/11]
Marco Petrelli received a PhD in English-language Literatures from the University of Rome “Sapienza” with a dissertation titled “A Southern Mode of the Imagination”: Space and Myth in Cormac McCarthy’s Novels. He was Visiting Fellow at the IFUSS (international Forum For Us Studies) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research mainly focuses upon the literature and culture of the US South. Other research interests include (but are not limited to) contemporary American literature, American gothic fiction, geocriticism, postmodernism and graphic narratives. He published articles on William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy and a number of reviews on various contemporary American (Southern) writers.
